Marvin Lowell Sheese, 85, of Spencer, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at the I.U. Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis. Marvin was born in Gosport, Indiana on February 24, 1934 to Herschel and Ina (Cooksey) Sheese. Marvin married his high school sweetheart on July 25, 1951, Anna Mae (Light) Sheese, and together they raised five wonderful children. Marvin retired from the Monroe County Farm Bureau CO-OP as feed mill manager. He loved spending time with his family and riding his motorcycle.
Marvin is survived by his wife, children, Debbie and husband Barry Gostomski of Carmel, Karen Freeman of Spencer, Rick and wife Joannie Sheese of Spencer, Tony and wife Pam Sheese of Spencer, Pam Todd of Bloomfield, brother, Earl and wife Marcia Sheese, sister, Rosella and husband Jack Taylor, sister-in-laws, Lois Sheese, Doris Sheese, grandchildren, Julia and husband Angelo Stanco, Heather Gostomski, Bryan and wife Tabitha Freeman, Eric Freeman and Megan Fabbro, Trent and wife Sydney Freeman, Joe and wife Sarah Sheese, Isaiah and wife Aimi Sheese, Nicholas Sheese and Stephanie Saturday, Jessica and husband Jeremy Busby, Amy Todd, great-grandchildren, Sofia Stanco, Olivia Stanco, Julian Stanco, Kendall Freeman, Lindley Fabbro, Hannah Sheese, Uriah Sheese, Shiloah Sheese, Ezra Sheese, Bret Busby, Connor Busby, Waylon Busby, and several nieces and nephews.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Floyd Sheese, Renos Sheese, Lewis Sheese, Lester Sheese, sisters, Beulah Dayhuff, Eulah Sheese, and son-in-law, Jack Freeman.
Funeral services are 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at the West & Parrish & Pedigo, 105 North Montgomery Street, Spencer. Preacher Gary Fiscus will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Spencer.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, August 12, 2019 and again 10:00 AM until the time of service on Tuesday, both at the funeral home.
