Charles W. Hudson

March 25, 1921 ~ May 10, 2019 (age 98)

Charles W. Hudson, 98, of Solsberry, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 10, 2019, surrounded by his family at the I.U. Hospice House in Bloomington, Indiana.  Charles was born on March 25, 1921, to Roy and Grace (Minks) Hudson.  Charles proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII, was a member of the Solsberry Christian Church.  Charles could do anything and owned Charles Hudson Plumbing.  He was an avid fisherman and lure maker.

Charles is survived by his children, Phillip and wife Sherry of Bloomington, Michael and wife Becky of Solsberry, Brenda and husband William Watkins of Solsberry, grandchildren, Susan and husband Mark Eckerle, Sandi and husband Jay Yoho, Jeannette Hammersley-Stolz, Susie Hammersley, Kelly and husband Tim Black, Brandon and wife Cassie Hudson, Travis and wife Jenny Hudson, Sara and husband Chris Bough, great-grandchildren; J.T. and wife Sam Yoho, Trevor Yoho, Zak Eckerle, Nathan Eckerle, Courtney and husband Tony Moronez, Ashley and husband Tim Leffler, Taylor and husband Jimmy Rutledge, David and wife Maria Stolz, Katherine Stolz, Joe Stolz, Zarena and husband Conner Causey, Zach Black, Dustin Bough, Cora Bough, great-great-grandchildren Gabe Moronez, Aspyn Moronez, Maddux Leffler, Brantley Causey, Jack Stolz, brother-in-law, Don and wife Janis Abram, sister-in-law, Virginia Hudson, and five nieces.  

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 54 years, Faye Marie (Abram) Hudson, one brother, Max Hudson, sister-in-law, Elizabeth and husband Truman Hudson, and one niece. 

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the Solsberry Christian Church.  Brother Tom Cooperider will officiate.  Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery, in Hendricksville.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, May 14, 2019 and again 9:00 AM until the time of service on Wednesday, all at the Solsberry Christian Church.

Arrangements provided by West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, Spencer, Indiana. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Operation Outreach in care of the Solsberry Christian Church and the Liberty Cemetery Association in care of the funeral home.
