Doris L. (Minnick) Rubeck, 85, of Spencer, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at her residence. Doris was born in Cuba, Indiana, on August 4, 1933 to Kenneth and Elizabeth (Coble) Minnick. Doris enjoyed sewing, baking, crocheting, and had a booth at the Apple Butter Festival and Cataract Bean Dinner for over thirty years. She was a longtime member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church in Carp.
Doris is survived by her children, David and wife Jane Rubeck of Spencer, Evelyn and husband Steve Boruff of Spencer, Dale Rubeck of Spencer, Dickie and wife Teresa of Spencer, eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild on the way, siblings, Gary Keith Minnick, Loren "Jim" K. and wife Betty Minnick, brother-in-law, Bob Barker, sister-in-laws, Shirley Minnick, Willene Minnick, and several nieces nephews and cousins.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 65 years, Wilbur Ray Rubeck, siblings, Marvin "Pete" Minnick, Aral Jean Brown, Barbara Taylor, David Maurice Minnick, Walter Wayne Minnick, Max Dale Minnick, Kenneth Beverly Minnick, Janet Sue Barker, and Arvin "Joe" Ray Minnick.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 North Montgomery Street, Spencer. Pastor Dick Poff will officiate. Burial will follow in Gosport Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, January 4, 2019 and again 12:00 PM until the time of service on Saturday, both at the funeral home.
