Harry Burbank, age 91, of Newburgh, formerly of Linton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at home. He was born in Russell Township, IL on June 8, 1928, the son of Willard Eugene Burbank & Mary Marguerite (Gordon) Burbank.
He was a graduate of Lawrenceville High School. He worked at Farm Bureau Co-op in the Petroleum Division for 37 years and was a member of the Linton BPO Elks Lodge #866. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
Harry is survived by his daughter, Jacque Peschka of Oklahoma City, OK; granddaughter, Kelsey Sloan of Linton; sister, Emma Johnson of Denver, CO; grandson, Jon Peschka of Oklahoma City, OK; several nieces and nephews and his lady friend, Teresa Latham of Newburgh.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Kathy (Felton) Burbank; daughter, Janice Sloan; brothers, Roy Gene Burbank, Oliver James Burbank and sisters, Bobbie Lindke, Mavis Morphey and Dovey Ann Zielinski.
Funeral service will be held 6:00 pm at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Monday, October 21, 2019. A graveside service will be at 11:00 am Eastern Standard Time/10:00 am Central Time on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Derr Cemetery in Pinkstaff, IL.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 pm until the time of service.
