Helen (Workman) Goodman, age 92, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 2:00 A.M. on Friday, May 3, 2019, at her daughters residence, with her family at her bedside. She was born in Linton on July 14, 1926, the daughter of Floyd & Myrtle (Flake) Cox.
Helen retired from General Electric in Linton. She enjoyed gardening, the spring and feeding birds, and spending time with her family.
She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Linton and was of the Christian Faith.
She is survived by her daughters, Kay (Kurt Axe) Sisk of Linton, Debbie (Tim) McCallum of Westphalia, a son-in-law, Bennie Lewis of Linton, her grandchildren, Bob, David, Nathan, A.J. and Cindy Lewis, Mary Ann Zygai, Jennifer Shaw, and Jeff McCallum, fifteen great-grandchildren, and sixteen great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Clyde "Buddy" Workman, Jr., second husband, Virgil Goodman, a daughter, Connie Sue Lewis, a grandson, Michael Lewis, her three brothers, Curt, John, and Vernon Pete Cox, and two sisters, Wilma Jean Dove and Thelma "Tippy" Henico.
Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 4:00 P.M. Monday, May 6, 2019, with Pastor Jeff Fulk will officiate. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Lyons.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 2:00 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to S.A.F.E. Animal Rescue, Inc., through the funeral home.
