Jack L. Woolard, 84, of Plainfield, formerly of Spencer, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2019 at the I.U. West Hospital in Avon, Indiana. Jack was born in Owen County, Indiana, on August 29, 1934 to William Rex and Edna Ethel (Deem) Woolard. Jack was a graduate of Spencer High School, class of 1952. He enjoyed coaching his daughter's softball team for several years, and was a member of the First Christian Church in Mooresville, Indiana. Jack loved to watch Indiana University Basketball, antiquing, and his 1950 Oldsmobile Rocket 88 that he called "Peggy Sue". Jack served in the Army National Guard and retired from Allison's in Indianapolis. Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Jack is survived by his wife of 64 years, Thelma "Jeweldeen" (Strunk) Woolard, daughters, Jaren and husband Tony Mong of Mooresville, Indiana, Carla and husband Wayne Cervo of Plainfield, Indiana, grandchildren, Carrie (St. Martin) Hines, Trent Mong, Lorraine and husband John McCoy, Nicole and husband Scott Rongo, Angela and husband Dave Delk, great-grandchildren, Ella, Grace, Orion, Harvey, Bryli, Hope, Aurora, Walker, Sully, Jupiter, brother, Charles Jr. and wife Frances Woolard, sister-in-laws, Patty Woolard, Carol Woolard, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, great-grandaughter, Kennedy Hines, siblings, Glenda Dillon, Gordon Woolard, Wilma Morley, and Glenn Woolard.
Funeral services will be 12 Noon, Monday, January 21, 2019 at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 North Montgomery Street, Spencer. Dr. Allan Lewis will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Spencer.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM until time of service on Monday, at the funeral home.
