James Bernard Fulk, age 89, of Spencer, passed away peacefully at 01:30 AM on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Aperion Care of Spencer. He was born in Freedom, Indiana, on November 27, 1929, the son of the late John William Fulk & Pearl (Shelburn) Fulk.
James was a graduate of Freedom High School. He was a veteran of the National Guard. He began working as a car salesman at the Ford dealership in Spencer and after that became an insurance salesman at Duling Insurance in Spencer where he worked until he was 85 years old. He loved to walk around town and travel with his wife.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Leota Fulk of Spencer; sister-in-law, Janice Skeel; niece, Deanna (John) Heckman; nephews, Dennie (Beth) Williams, Marcus Skeel and Ryan (Laura) Skeel and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Fulk and brother, John Fulk, Jr.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, with Dr. Allan Lewis and Dr. Diane Wells officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside in Spencer.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Spencer Christian Church or Owen County Community Foundation through the funeral home.
