Marcella Louise Eller, age 94, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully at 6:20 A.M. on Sunday, January 6, 2019, at I U Health Bloomington Hospice House. She was born in Owen County on November 27, 1924, the daughter of Owen & Goldie (Minks) Eller.
Marcella worked in the restaurant industry in the Bloomington area. She resided at Miller House through Stone Belt in Bloomington for thirty-one years, being the first to move there. She loved entertainment, and enjoyed collecting dolls and stuffed animals.
She attended Salem Separate Baptist Church throughout her life, and was proud that her father helped construct it.
She is survived by her nieces, Edith Fulk of Bloomington, Evelyn Deckard of Santa Teresa, NM, and Wilma Heidler of Zellwood, FL, nephews, Glenn Britton and Harold Eller, both of Bloomington, several great nieces and nephews, and several great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Harold Eller in WWII, a sister, Irene Britton, and one niece, Bernice Hamm.
Funeral service will be held at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, with Andrew Lowry officiating. Burial will follow at in Riverside Cemetery in Spencer.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until the time of service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Stone Belt of Bloomington, Salem Separate Baptist Church, or IU Hospice of Bloomington, through the funeral home.
