Marjorie (Brewer) Hale, age 93, of West Terre Haute, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at Union Hospital. She was born in Greene County, IN on September 27, 1924, the daughter of the late Dr. Stanley & Ollie (Williams) Brewer.
Marjorie was a graduate of Indiana State Teacher's College. She was a teacher for 32 years and loved every minute of it. She enjoyed reading about history, gardening and working outdoors, however, her greatest passion was spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra (Jeffrey) Kixmiller of West Terre Haute, grandsons, Craig (Samantha) Kixmiller and Jared (Lori) Kixmiller both of Fishers; granddaughter, Emily (Jacob) Klosinski of South Bend; sisters, Vera Brewer of Sandborn and Doris Shoultz-Creek of Bloomington and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joe Stephen Hale and sisters, Dixie Lee Brewer, Wilma (Brewer) Pearce and Donna (Brewer) Creek.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm at Sandborn United Methodist Church, 207 Vine St., Sandborn, Indiana 47578, on Saturday, February 17, 2018, with Pastor Tom Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Stafford Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sandborn United Methodist Church or Emmanuel United Methodist Church in West Terre Haute.
