Olive M. (Brown) Richardson, 89, of Plainfield, formerly of Spencer, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the Plainfield Health Care Center. Olive was born in Monroe County on May 9, 1929 to George D. and Martha Marie (Sexton) Brown. Olive was a devout Jehovah Witness and enjoyed attending The Kingdom Hall in Spencer for many years. Olive retired from Hoosier Tent and Awning in Gosport.
Olive is survived by her children, Janice D. Carmichael and husband Lloyd of Mooresville, Tina M. Meadows and husband Richard of Spencer, Raymond K. Richardson of Mooresville, grandchildren, Darla Carter, Beth Newton and fiancé Todd Knight, Crystal Burgess and husband Thomas, Maggie Rady and fiancé Jason Moore, Clint Carmichael and wife Susan, Dana Ulrey, Tom Rady and wife Treasa, Shane Freeman and wife Stephanie, James Andy Rady, Natasha Freeman, Gunnery Sgt. Shawn Freeman and wife Nicole, Justin Richardson and wife Cait, Chasity Ison and husband Curt, twenty two great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, sister Georgiana Wampler and husband Phillip, and several nieces and nephews.
Olive was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 51 years, James Raymond Richardson, and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, May 25, 2018 at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer. Burial will take place in New Union Cemetery in Spencer at a later date.
