Robert "Bob" D. Crum

September 27, 1942 ~ February 14, 2019 (age 76)

Robert D. "Bob" Crum, 76, of Spencer, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at the Waters of Greencastle. Bob was born in Indianapolis on September 27, 1942 to Andrew J. "Jack", Sr. and Martha A. (Gater) Crum. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps where he served in Vietnam. Bob was a member of the Spencer Conservation Club and loved to hunt, fish, repair and shoot guns. Bob dearly loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his boys, Robert E. "Eugene" and wife Shelly Crum, Andrew J. "Jimmy" Crum, both of Ellettsville, Indiana, grandchildren, Robert A. and wife Kim Crum, Jessica C. and husband Bradley Elkins, Amber R. and husband Chris Harrison, Shannon J. Crum, Keegan J. Crum, great-grandchildren, Alexander "Xander" Harrison, Finn P. Harrison, Benson J. Schmitt, Blaire A. Schmitt, Blakely M. Huber, Brantley H. Elkins, Harlon W. Elkins, Robert E. Crum, Elizabeth J. Crum, siblings, Jackie Gunther, Charles E. and wife Doris Crum, Jean "Jeannie" Williams, Mike Crum, Lois and husband Mark Hetser, Andrew "Jack" Crum, Jr., Junie Scherb, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Raymond Heavenridge, Patty Heavenridge, Dick Heavenridge, Ralph W. Crum, Martha Jo Crum, one grandchild, Yarlea Elizabeth Crum, brother-in-laws, John Gunther, Gene Williams, and sister-in-law, Kay Crum.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 North Montgomery Street, Spencer. Entombment will follow at Chambersville Cemetery Mausoleum.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, February 19, 2019 and again 12:00 PM until the time of service on Wednesday, all at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project through the funeral home.
