Robert R. "Bob" Moscrip, age 86, of Spencer, passed away peacefully at 3:20 pm on Monday, February 19, 2018, at IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington. He was born in Walla Walla, Washington on December 17, 1931, the son of Eldon R. & Lula Mae (Withem) Moscrip.
Bob was a 1949 graduate of Spencer High School and attended the University of Texas El Paso. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked at RCA in Bloomington for many years, retiring in 1989.
Bob was a member of the Spencer First Church of the Nazarene and Stinesville Lions Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family and church family, gardening and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Martha (Baker) Moscrip, daughter, Jennie Sandlin of Spencer, two sons, Rob (Lindy) Moscrip of Bloomington and Stan (Cindy) Moscrip of West Lafayette, grandchildren, Stephanie (Glen) Shearer of Mooresville, Chris (Sonja) Moscrip of Seymour, Michelle Roberts of Bloomington, Nate (Brittney) Roberts of Spencer, Tyler, Madison, and Bentley Moscrip, all of Bloomington, and great-grandchildren, Gabe, Dominic, Brayden, Baileigh, Audri, and Rhett.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Tom and Dick Moscrip, and son-in-law, Jeff Sandlin.
Funeral service will be held at Spencer First Church of the Nazarene at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 24, 2018, with Pastor Gary Davey and Bob's nephew, David Moscrip, officiating. Burial will follow at Chambersville Cemetery in Spencer. Military honors will be given by the Spencer American Legion.
Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Owen Valley Health Campus Memory Care Unit through the funeral home. Envelopes will be available at the church.
