Shane Michael Hadley, age 35, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 10:56 am on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, in Robinson, Illinois. He was born in Linton, Indiana on March 11, 1982, the son of Don R. Hadley & Terri L. (Pitcher) Hadley.
He completed his certification in truck driving from Vincennes University. He worked for Dewey Trucking and was a member of the teamsters union. He worked at Toyota and then the Hershey Company in Robinson, Illinois. He attended Highland Church in Robinson, IL.
He enjoyed bow hunting, trading his trucks, and spending time with family and friends. He had a lot of nicknames, Big Shane, Bobo and Tini. He loved to listen to and tell stories. Children loved him like the Teddy Bear he was.
He is survived by his mother, Terri Hadley of Linton, father, Don Hadley of Linton, his brother, Travis Hadley of Linton, finance, Valerie Stoll Dennis of Robinson, IL, step-children, Kiersa, Zoe and Xander, aunts, Jackie (David) Haddix, Cheri (Brent) Slover, Martha Hadley, all of Linton, uncle, Ronnie (Berthie) Hadley of Jasonville, cousins, Josh (Leah) Meurer, Joie Gadberry, Luke Haddix, Ryan Slover, Evan Slover, Ronnie Jr. Hadley, Chris Hadley, Tina Hadley, & Chuck Hadley, and his dog, Whitey.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herb & Wanda Pitcher and Olend & Christine Hadley, and an uncle, Bill Hadley.
Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home of Linton at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, with Pastor Billy Worland officiating. Burial will follow at Morris Chapel Cemetery in Greene-Sullivan State Forest.
Visitation will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Monday from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm, and Tuesday from 9:00 am until the time of service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shane Hadley Memorial Scholarship Fund through the funeral home.
