Agnes Wooten Ingram, 91, of Bloomington, formerly of Solsberry, passed into heaven on Saturday, September 12, 2020, at Bell Trace Health and Living Center in Bloomington. She was born January 31, 1929 in Leslie County, Kentucky, the daughter of Matt and Oma (Melton) Wooten. Agnes was a 1947 graduate of the Annville Institute in Annville, Kentucky. She married Cedric Ingram on October 25, 1947. Agnes was retired from RCA in Bloomington. Agnes was a member of the Newark Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, and had also attended Cincinnati Christian Church. Agnes was an excellent seamstress and southern cook. She loved nothing more than preparing and serving a meal for her family. Birthday breakfasts were one of her specialties. Agnes especially delighted in watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren playing basketball and volleyball, and hearing all about what they were involved in.
Surviving relatives include her children: Garry Ingram and Patricia Horn of Spencer, Sandra (Rick) Rainey of Bloomington, Carolyn (Randy) Turpin of Springville, and Tamara Cummings of Bloomington; grandchildren, Jerry (Gina) Ingram, Andy (Lesley) Ingram, Jim (Jennifer Holmes) Ingram, Don (Cora) Horn, Kayte (Tim) Miller, Rebecca Roberts, Matt (Kindra) Roberts, Stephanie (David Hall) Turpin, Amanda (Randy) Roth, and Andrew Rainey; great-grandchildren: Zach (Brittany) and Scottie Lee Ingram, Justin, Jaden, and Jordan Ingram, Mitch Ingram, J.T. Jordan and Jacey Jordan, Anissa, Nate Horn and Wylie Horn, Alonzo Eggleston, Caroline and Damon Roberts, Emma, Erika, Elijah and Elissa Roth, and Eislee Rainey; one brother, Everett Wooten of Alexandria, Kentucky.
Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Cedric, in 1993; her parents; brothers, Harrison Wooten, Eugene Wooten and Enoch Wooten; son-in-law, Don Horn and daughter-in-law, Sandra Sharr Ingram.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 17, 2020 at the Solsberry Cemetery in Solsberry, Indiana. Pastor Stephen Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow.
