Dollie Faye (Pelley) Richardson, 91, of Spencer, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at her residence. Dollie was born in Unionville, Indiana on February 10, 1930 to Benjamin Zadoc Pelley and Opal Mae (Fulford) Pelley. Dollie married the love of her life, Joseph E. Richardson, Sr. in 1951 and together they raised a wonderful family. She worked at Sarkas Tarsans, retired from General Electric and sold Avon. Dollie was a very caring woman and was known to take relatives of both sides of her marriage to assist them in times of trouble and difficulty. She was a very hard worker and prepared for family reunions and get togethers with zeal. Her main hobby was her children to whom she was devoted. Stern, yet loving, she put her children above all else. She was such a genuinely good person, that anyone that entered her sphere soon began to admire her to the fullest. She was unkind to no one.
Dollie grew up on a farm near Unionville where hard work was a way of life and she never once shied away from any task laid before her. She was also witty and very fun loving. Her laughter will ring in her children's ears from now on. There is nothing that her children would not do for her in return for her devotion to them. We are saddened that time has come to an end. As a baptized and caring Christian woman we are confident that her soul is now in good hands.
Dollie is survived by her children, Joseph E. Richardson, Jr. of Spencer, Randall D. (Becky) Richardson of Worthington, Jerry W. Richardson of Spencer, Rhonda L. Richardson of Spencer, nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson, sister-in-laws, Martha Pelley, Uldine Pelley, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dollie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Melvin Pelley, Lester Pelley, Maurice Pelley, sisters, Esther Pelley, Easter Yeaden, Edna Manis, and Genevive Woodward.
